
Bermudian Canadian trumpeter Matthew Ross is a Trumpet Teaching Artist at Sistema New Brunswick, teaching at their Moncton Centre. He also teaches trumpet at Mount Allison University, Université de Moncton, and Northern Caribbean University (Mandeville, Jamaica).
Matthew completed his master’s degree at the Shepherd School of Music, where he studied with Charles Geyer and Barbara Butler. He received his B.Mus. in trumpet performance at the University of Toronto and his Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School, studying with Anita McAlister and Andrew McCandless.
Matthew is a member of the Tutta Musica Orchestra and East Coast Brass. He has also performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Symphony Nova Scotia, Symphony New Brunswick, English Chamber Orchestra, Hannaford Street Silver Band, Weston Silver Band, and Soundstreams.
